Cultural landscape

The history and culture of a region consists of more than just documents and monuments. It can be read in the lay of the land, the names of local geographical features and settlements, the gestures and modes of speaking of the inhabitants. Every visitor is at liberty to interpret them as he chooses.

The unique landscape in the vicinity of the Reschenpass / Passo di Resia offers many cultural gems. The "Rhaetian Triangle" formed by Vinschgau / Val Venosta (Italy), Oberes Gericht (Austria), and Unterengadin/Engadina (Switzerland) provides a taste of the broad cultural variety of the region as a whole. This region harbors wonderful cultural treasures embedded in a common culture – which nonetheless displays various differences.
